Committee information

There are seven committees accepting nominations. Each committee has opened between 3-5 seats depending on their respective size, to which all eligible members of Intersect can apply to. Read on further to find out more.

Committees open for election

The ISC has members from all committees, including community hub managers and representatives from Intersect professional staff. It has been recently established to help bridge synergies with other committees and to share and cross-pollinate ideas throughout Intersect's committee function.

Committee Compositions & Criteria

Intersect Steering Committee

  • 1 Chair, 6 Community Seats, 7 Committee Chair Seats, 7 Intersect Function Director Seats, and 1 Secretary

  • 3 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

Budget Committee

  • 1 Chair, 7 Seats, 1 Secretary

  • 4 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • Strong understanding of Cardano ecosystem and blockchain technology

    • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, or treasury management

    • Commitment to transparency, collaboration, and community-driven processes

    • Ability to dedicate time for regular meetings and committee work

    • Excellent communication and analytical skills

    • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to Cardano's values

Cardano Civics Committee

  • 1 Chair, 8 Seats and 1 Secretary (note - previously this was noted as 10 seats, this was an error.)

  • 4 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • Experience in Civic engagement, within or outside of the Cardano ecosystem.

Technical Steering Committee (TSC)

  • 1 Chair, 9 Seats and 1 Secretary

  • 5 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • Demonstrated expert knowledge of the Cardano design and implementation, evidenced by a track record of core contributions

Membership and Community Committee

  • 2 Co-Chairs, 9 Seats and 1 Secretary

  • 5 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • There is no specific criteria for applying to this committee

Open Source Committee

  • 1 Chair, 9 seats (8 Community, 1 OS Office Representative) and 1 Secretary

  • 4 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • Quantitative and qualitative participation in building Open Source tools, Projects, or Organizations. General seats on the OSC may also be filled by senior maintainers or equivalent on a current Cardano Project.

Product Committee (previously known as roadmap / vision / backlog)

  • 1 Chair, 7 Seats and 1 Secretary

  • 4 Seats to be elected in the October 24 Election

  • Criteria

    • Strong understanding of Cardano ecosystem and blockchain technology

    • Experience in future technology and strategy research and design.

    • A good understanding of blockchain economics

    • Commitment to transparency, collaboration, and community-driven processes

    • Ability to dedicate time for regular meetings and committee work

    • Excellent communication and analytical skills

    • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to Cardano's values
